“Feyiase Bolt driver murderer did it for money” – Prosecutor
The accused would reappear before the court on 22nd July, 2021.
The prime suspects in the murder of a Bolt driver in Feyiase have been remanded to police custody for two weeks, following a plea from the prosecution for more time to investigate the case.
The prosecutor informed the Kuntenase Magistrate court presided over by His Worship Francis Asakia Ana-am of the events leading to the crime.
According to him, the prime suspect, Rashid Ibrahim saw a commercial on Amansan TV by a fetish priest known as Black Akasha, inviting persons who wanted a quick means of making money to contact him.
Rashid proceeded to the shrine where he was charged GHS900 and was asked to bring a human head for the required rituals.
Subsequently, and on 4th July, 2021, Rashid hired the services of the deceased, Israel Agyei Manu to Feyiase, where he requested his assistance to pick up his speakers. It was on this trip that Israel was murdered by the accused.
The Assistant to the fetish priest of the shrine, Richard Addai, 35; and Anthony Sekum, 22, identified as a labourer have subsequently been remanded to police custody for further investigations. The fetish priest and one other person are presently still at large.
The accused would reappear before the court on 22nd July, 2021.
